This book is dedicated to the protection of patients' rights in Cameroon's complex and often opaque health sector. Navigating a system marked by both public and private health structures, the authors shine a critical light on the grey areas of Medical Law in Cameroon — a field where regulatory frameworks, despite their intent, fall significantly short of providing effective legal protection for patients. Drawing on carefully examined cases of violations committed by health practitioners, the book lays bare the systemic weaknesses and institutional challenges that undermine patient rights. The authors argue that existing regulations are insufficient and, building on this analysis, propose a comprehensive set of reforms — including an effective protective guarantee scheme — to bring greater accountability and justice to Cameroon's health sector.
